submitted by Susann Lusnia (Tulane University, New Orleans) via LCA Secretary Albert Watanabe:

Spend the summer of 2011 at the American Academy in Rome!

Dr. Lusnia will be the director of this program starting this summer, 2011. She writes: “I am hoping that I might get some applications from qualified secondary school teachers in Louisiana. . . . Fulbright funds up to 10 teachers to attend the Classical Summer School (20 June – 29 July) and the Vergilian Society‘s Cumae program (first two weeks of August). Interested teachers will need to apply to me for the AAR program and to the American Councils for the Fulbright grant.”

Dr. Lusnia included some informational material about the summer program, which “focuses on the development of the ancient city of Rome from its earliest settlement to the time of Constantine.”

Applications must be received by January 18, 2011
Arrangement for room and board can be made via this form
